    Annual Giving Manager

    Department: Development

    Location: Arlington Heights, IL

    Hours: Full Time, Monday-Friday, 35 hours/week

    Pay: $50,000-60,000/year

    Clearbrook is a non-profit, social services agency that specializes in providing innovative services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, such as Autism and Down Syndrome.

    General Duties:

    The Annual Fund Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, and managing Clearbrook’s annual fund campaigns to build and maintain a base of donors while achieving revenue goals. This individual works to create and sustain donor relationships through strategic fundraising efforts, including direct mail, digital campaigns, donor stewardship, and engagement programs. The Annual Fund Manager will work closely with the Director of Development and the Marketing Manager to create strong marketing and donor relationship management techniques to cultivate and solicit current and prospective donors, and to thank and steward donors.

    Essential Functions:

    • In collaboration with the Director of Development and other marketing and development colleagues, lead Clearbrook’s approach to annual giving.
    • Create, implement, and evaluate Clearbrook’s annual giving campaigns, including mailings, email marketing, appeals, reports, and other relevant correspondence.
    • Manage and build relationships with new donors
    • Create, implement, and evaluate strategies that lead to strong donor cultivation, solicitation, prospecting, segmenting, acknowledgement, recognition and stewardship.
    • Attract and cultivate employee giving and monthly donor relationships with specified goals to renew and increase/upgrade giving.
    • Track pledges and monthly gifts to ensure on-time payment.
    • Analyze donor giving patterns to increase donor retention, upgrading, and conversion rates.
    • Manage a portfolio of mid-level donors
    • Develop and implement strategies to ensure Clearbrook staff are aware of our mission and provide multiple opportunities for them to contribute to a staff giving campaign.
    • Maintain accurate donor records in the fundraising database, ensure timely data entry, tracking, and reporting
    • Work closely with the Database Manager to segment and analyze donor trends according to past giving history, personal interests, affiliation and history with Clearbrook to determine the best solicitation strategies for each appeal or campaign.
    • Manage annual donor retention and giving statistics for Leadership and Board.
    • Collaborate with the Director of Development on strategies to transition annual fund donors to major gift prospects
    • Meet annual revenue and donor retention goals.

    Qualifications:

    Must be eligible to work in the United States

    Education:

    • Minimum: A B.A. or B.S.
    • Preferred: A B.A. or B.S. Degree in Communications, English,
    • Non-profit management or other applicable degree is referred.

    Experience:

    • 2+ years working with annual giving campaigns and appeals in a non-profit organization.

    Other:

    • Participate in and contribute to development strategy sessions
    • Work closely with Development & Marketing team members to contribute to overall department & organization success
    • Committed to Clearbrook’s mission; responsible for maintaining a solid understanding of Clearbrook and its mission and accurately and positively representing Clearbrook in the community
    • Complete mandatory annual training
    • Responsible for other duties as identified by the President or Vice President of
