Motion Graphics/Video Editor

Techrity is a non-profit organization focused on bridging gaps in unemployment, gender inclusion, and poverty by equipping young talents with the resources to build solutions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Africa. We achieve this through initiatives like providing laptops, browsing data, mentorship, and inspiring innovators through our Build4SocialGood hackathon and incubation program.

We are looking for a motion graphics /video editor to join our core team.

As a Motion Graphics/Video Editor at Techrity, you will perform the following functions:

Responsibilities

*Create daily videos that capture all programs and projects(past and current)

*Create engaging videos and motion graphics content that connects to Techrity’s donation appeals

*Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film

*Input music, dialogues, graphics and motion effects

*Create rough and final cuts

*Ensure logical sequencing, smooth running and synergy across videos on all Techrity platforms.

*Work independently to create compelling video content for Techrity programs and projects.

*Collaborate with the social media team and MerchByTechrity team to create compelling video content for Techrity programs and projects.

*Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience

*Continuously discover and implement new motion techniques and editing technologies and apply the industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.

*Showcase Techrity's vision and mission to the world with daily innovative, compelling and engaging video content.

*Ensure that all tasks align with the KPI set to meet Techrity's goals

*Developing a content strategy to improve engagement across Techrity’s digital platforms.

*Conceptualizing, directing, and shooting high-quality video content that aligns with Techrity’s mission.

*Control video editing and motion graphics to ensure a consistent, high-quality brand aesthetic.

*Driving audience engagement through strategic visual storytelling.

Requirements and skills

*Proven work experience as a Video Editor or a Motion Graphics Designer

*Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. CapCut) Elevenlabs, etc)

*Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio

*Familiarity with special effects, 3D, compositing, and the use of AI for video creation and editing.

*Creative mind and storytelling skills.
