    Description

    The Bay Ride, a premier charity cycling event in the San Francisco Bay Area, is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Volunteer Coordinator for our upcoming annual ride on September 13th, 2025.

    Responsibilities:

    Recruit volunteers by reaching out to cycling clubs, coalitions, community organizations, etc. Volunteers will primarily be needed for the aid stations with a minimum of 4 volunteers for each of our 6 rest stops (2 shifts of 2 people) plus another 10 available at checkin the morning of, so roughly 30 people minimum.

    Manage volunteer database and communication

    Coordinate volunteer schedules and assignments

    Ensure volunteers have necessary resources and information

    Oversee volunteer check-in process on event day

    Manage volunteer needs at four rest stops during the ride

    Provide post-event follow-up and appreciation to volunteers

    Qualifications:

    Excellent organizational and communication skills

    Experience in volunteer management or event coordination preferred

    Familiarity with the Bay Area cycling community a plus

    Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    Proficiency in basic computer skills and database management

    This is a part-time, temporary position leading up to our event on September 13, 2025 Compensation commensurate with experience.
