Project Specialist

Position Description

The Project Specialist will provide critical administrative support to the Caminar Latino-LUPE national team, coordinate virtual and in-person meetings, ensure proper documentation of program and financial activities, and support resource development and project documentation as needed.

Familiarity with culturally responsive approaches and a passion for community driven solutions is a plus.

Functions and Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support for grants management and documentation of project activities.
• Coordinate training, TA, and support on different projects.
• Provide accurate and timely responses to inquiries from team members and partners.
• Maintain and utilize databases for record keeping, queries, and reporting as needed.
• Coordinate audio/visual communications and accessibility needs (e.g. language interpretation) for in-person and virtual meetings.
• Provide support as needed in the completion of projects and tasks.
• Support meeting and travel coordination.
• Support notetaking.
• Support evaluation components and project documentation as needed.
• Support monthly financial tasks and grant specific projects.

Skills and Abilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. (Verbal and written proficiency in Spanish a plus).
• Proficiency with online event platforms (e.g. Zoom)
• Organization and planning skills.
• Work management and prioritizing skills.
• Problem solving ability.
• Attention to detail.
• Accuracy.
• Flexibility.

Education and Experience

Proven experience in relevant position.

The mission of Caminar Latino – Latinos United for Peace and Equity (LUPE) is to create opportunities for Latino families to transform their lives and communities and to change the social conditions that give rise to violence. The local and state arm of Caminar Latino operates in Atlanta and is Georgia’s first and only comprehensive domestic violence intervention program for Latino families. The national arm, LUPE, engages in public policy, systems change, and research at the intersection of gender-based violence and Latino identity.
