    About the Opportunity

    As a Business and Admin Intern at Sattya, you will play an important role in ensuring the financial sustainability and operational efficiency of our workshops, events, and programs. Your work will focus on income generation, financial oversight, and improving administrative workflows. This role provides hands-on experience in business development, organizational management, and program sustainability within a creative and collaborative environment.

    Responsibilities

    Income Generation:

    • Develop pricing models, promotional strategies, and financial goals for workshops and events.
    • Research and identify new revenue streams, including partnerships, sponsorships, and funding opportunities.
    • Refine income-generating programs, such as the Makerspace, ensuring accessibility and profitability.

    Administrative Support:

    • Organize and maintain documentation, including contracts, agreements, and official records.
    • Coordinate scheduling for meetings, workshops, and other events.
    • Assist with onboarding processes for new team members.
    • Streamline day-to-day administrative processes for operational efficiency.

    Financial Assistance:

    • Track income, expenses, and budgets for various projects.
    • Update and maintain financial records, including invoices, receipts, and reports.
    • Support monthly financial reviews, audits, and compliance with financial protocols.

    Program and Sustainability Development:

    • Analyze financial performance and recommend improvements for programs
    • Ensure alignment between Sattya’s creative initiatives and financial goals.
    • Propose innovative approaches to expand Sattya’s reach and strengthen program sustainability.

    Market Research and Process Improvement:

    • Research market trends to identify opportunities for new services or programs.
    • Explore digital tools to improve financial tracking and document management.
    • Suggest and implement improvements in administrative and financial workflows.

    Skills & Qualifications

    • Organizational and analytical skills to assess performance and opportunities.
    • Knowledge of business strategy, income generation, or financial planning.
    • Excellent communication skills for team collaboration and outreach to partners.
    • Basic understanding of financial systems and administrative processes.
    • Familiarity with budgeting tools and proficiency in Google Workspace; experience with accounting tools is a plus.
