    Description

    Everytown for Gun Safety is seeking an intern to join the Development Team. The Development Team leads Everytown’s major donor fundraising program. The intern position will provide support to the Development Team by conducting prospect research and updating the database. They will also help prepare materials for fundraising meetings and events and track notes about donor interactions.

    The Development Team Intern position will report to the Senior Development Associate and work closely with other members of the Development Team and the Office of the President. This position is based out of Everytown’s New York office.

    Responsibilities:

    The primary responsibilities of the Development Intern will include:

    • Prospecting and researching ideas for potential donors
    • Managing and updating the donor database
    • Assisting in preparing materials for donor meetings and events, including writing briefings and background memos
    • Tracking follow-up and meeting notes in the donor database
    • Providing administrative support for donor events, including tracking attendees and RSVPs
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    • Current students are encouraged to apply
    • Knowledge of NGP database is a plus, but not required
    • Excellent research, writing, and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team
    • Ability to complete tasks and communicate clearly while working in a hybrid environment
    • Passion for Everytown’s mission of preventing gun violence in America

    The minimum hourly rate for this role is $17.00p/hr
