    Ayurvedic Organic Kitchen Garden at a charitable hospital and upcoming botanical-herbal garden is made possible by people who ventured out to volunteer and benefit other needy people and to make a difference in their own lives with their unique backgrounds, talents and skill levels. We have volunteer opportunities to match a wide range of interests and time commitment. Our needs change based on current events, adding flexibility to get you involved in an area that inspires you!

    There are several opportunities and services that the Ayurvedic Organic Kitchen Garden and the kitchen has to offer during the normal times at the hospital and before, during and after the emergencies and disasters !

    You will work as a organic garden and kitchen assistant under the supervision of the facility coordinator and in aid to the garden in-charge, kitchen cook, and the related staff members.

    You will learn every day how to raise herbal and botanical plants and prepare a new local Indian and Ayurvedic meals / dishes. through breakfast, lunch and dinner timings between 9 am to 7 pm.

    • Work Schedule Few hours on selected days, 15 to 30 hours a week as part of cultural experience
    • Project Location Kangra - Dharamshala, Mid Himalayas, India
    • Accommodation Type Single or shared room, Host family

    You will need to take a cooking apron and garden-kitchen working gloves with you. You can also buy it locally in the market at the location.

    Program fees & Duration:

    The deposit (non-refundable) includes: ongoing support from staff, visa application assistance, as may be needful, 24/7 emergency support, program marketing costs, pre-departure information, communication costs with volunteers.

    The program fees includes: local airport transfer (pick-up only), orientation, program supervision, accommodation and daily meals during volunteer program period, in-country 24/7 volunteer support and in-country administration costs

    Not included: plane ticket, visa, vaccines, insurance, in-country trips or tours, souvenirs, personal care consumer products (toothpaste, soap, etc), transfer back to the airport.
