    About the Opportunity

    Sattya’s Makerspace is a creative hub in Kathmandu, offering tools and resources for woodworking, crafting, and tinkering. As a Makerspace Intern, you’ll assist with managing the space, supporting users, and organizing workshops while building practical skills and engaging with the local maker community.

    Responsibilities

    Space Management:

    • Conduct checks and maintenance for tools and equipment to ensure functionality.
    • Organize and oversee inventory for tools, materials, and supplies.
    • Maintain an inspiring, clean, and organized workspace for all users.

    User Support:

    • Assist members in selecting and using tools, materials, and resources effectively.
    • Provide basic demonstrations and safety orientations for Makerspace equipment.
    • Troubleshoot technical or creative challenges faced by members.

    Events, Workshops, and Community Engagement:

    • Help organize and run events like open houses
    • Plan and lead workshops, and find new ideas for future sessions.
    • Look for opportunities to connect with and grow the maker community.

    Skills & Qualifications

    • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with woodworking and/or crafting.
    • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage schedules, inventory, and operations.
    • Communication: Friendly and comfortable guiding users of diverse skill levels.
    • Problem-Solving: Resourcefulness to address equipment or project challenges.
