NOW Spring 2025 Accounting Intern

Location: Remote or Washington, D.C. (Hybrid)

Stipend: $700 monthly allowance for travel and meals

Commitment: 24-32 hours per week, minimum 10 weeks

About NOW:

The National Organization for Women (NOW) is the largest grassroots feminist organization in

the United States, fighting for women's rights and social justice through intersectional advocacy,

organizing, and education.

Position Overview:

The Accounting Intern will gain hands-on experience in nonprofit financial operations under

the guidance of the Senior Accounting Manager. This is a valuable opportunity for students or

early-career professionals looking to develop skills in nonprofit accounting, financial reporting,

and organizational budgeting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reconcile credit card statements and organize check requests
• Assist with expense reporting and financial reconciliation
• Perform general data entry and financial record-keeping

Qualifications:

• Passion for feminist activism and nonprofit management
• Interest in financial processes, budgeting, and accounting
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred

Compensation & Commitment:

• $700 monthly allowance to offset travel and meal expenses
• Commitment of 24-32 hours per week
