    Description

    The Education Program Assistant will support the planning, coordination, and execution of educational programs, events, and continuing education initiatives. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate is passionate about event management, continuing education, and student engagement, with a focus on supporting architects, educators, and emerging professionals.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Event Planning & Management:

    • Manage event budgets, contracts, logistics, and volunteer recruitment.
    • Lead and participate in board committees related to events and programs.
    • Develop and distribute promotional materials such as registration brochures, Calls for Presentations, and marketing content.
    • Submit educational programs and sessions for AIA Continuing Education (CES) approval, ensuring compliance with AIA National guidelines.

    Continuing Education (CES) Management:

    • Develop and promote Continuing Education programs that help members meet Mandatory Continuing Education (MCE) requirements for licensure and AIA membership.
    • Oversee CES paperwork, including session registrations and attendance reporting to AIA National.
    • Ensure compliance with state licensing requirements and AIA CES Standards.
    • Assist members with transcript management, including error corrections and timely reporting.

    Student & Educator Engagement:

    • Student Programs: Oversee competitions, scholarships, and networking events to engage students in the architecture profession.
    • K-12 Educator Programs: Support workshops and educator sessions that introduce students to architecture and design.
    • University Relations: Promote and coordinate programs with universities.

    Fundraising & Sponsorship Support:

    • Assist in identifying and securing sponsorship opportunities for educational programs and events.
    • Support fundraising initiatives to expand student programs and professional development opportunities.
