Herbal and Botanical Gardening Volunteer

We are developing an Herbal and Botanical Garden at our centre for Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy in association with Maple Leaf Hospital at Mission Hill, Kangra- Dharamshala (Himachal Pradesh) in India.

Herbal and Botanical gardening volunteers are invited to join us at our facility under our volunteer- travel / Service- Learning programme to contribute efforts to one or more of the following works

To get knowledge about various herbal plants having pharmaceutical value

To work in group with for mapping, clearing, removal of weeds, landscaping

Surveying, Identification, tagging of plants,

development tilling and preparation of the small gardening plots

To have research in planning new designs for sitting places, entry gates, huts etc inside herbal garden

To visit herbal gardens, plant nurseries for collection of seeds

• Making a pathway inside a herbal garden
• Taking care of plants inside herbal garden
• Pruning and trimming of trees
• Opportunity to work in a team and have good managerial skills
• Developing and maintaining walking pathways in the garden area
