    Position Overview

    The Financial Freedom team is involved in a variety of events around the world that HRF organizes, co-organizes, sponsors and attends to promote its mission of Financial Freedom for human rights activists. The Financial Freedom Operations Intern will report directly to the Financial Freedom Operations Lead, work with the broader Financial Freedom team, and assist in event management, coordination, and logistics for all Financial Freedom-related events.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist with travel arrangements for the team and stakeholders. Includes booking transportation, hotels, and communicating with individuals.
    • Help manage events. Includes booking venues, developing agenda with relevant stakeholders, and drafting communications.
    • Track expenses for the operations team. Includes managing our receipt-tracking system and maintaining a budget.
    • Manage event content: Creating and coordinating the creation of creative deliverables for the event such booklets, slide decks, promotional materials, speaker bios, and more.
    • Help further develop systems and processes for optimizing the Financial Freedom team’s operations. Includes managing digital systems such as Google Drive, Monday, Airtable, Brex, SalesForce, MixMax and more.

    Requirements

    • An understanding of and affinity for HRF’s mission, especially in the context of financial freedom and human rights, an understanding of the Bitcoin space is highly preferred.
    • A passion for learning more about the intersection of financial freedom and human rights.
    • Self-motivated team player with a high sense of urgency and ability to handle multiple projects at once, in coordination with multiple team members and stakeholders.
    • An ability to pay high attention to detail in all tasks and communications.
    • Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral.
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills; possess a friendly, professional demeanor.
    • Open to transitioning into a full-time role if extended an offer.
