    Description

    The Choice is seeking a Governance Administrator with a respected organization in the dental education space. This is a high-volume role with hours of 40-60 hours/week leading up to a major Annual Session from March 8-11 at the National Harbor, MD. Anything over 40 hours would be considered time and a half.

    This hybrid position requires in-office work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in Washington, DC, with remote flexibility on Mondays and Fridays but candidates should be available to work onsite as needed. While not confirmed, this position may transition into a temp-to-hire opportunity at the manager/analyst level.

    Ideal Candidate Profile:

    • Minimum five years of professional experience, preferably in executive support or governance.
    • Flexible to work 40+ hours/week.
    • Calm and effective under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
    • Advanced Excel and writing skills are required.
    • Experience working with high-level executives (C-Suite).
    • Prior governance experience is a plus but not required.
    • Must be available for hybrid work (Tuesdays–Thursdays in-office; Mondays & Fridays remote), with flexibility for additional onsite days if needed.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist in governance preparation for the upcoming Annual Session.
    • Assemble and distribute materials, including House of Delegates (HOD) envelopes and Board of Directors notebooks.
    • Process 20+ reimbursement requests for Board Members.
    • Support HOD script development and staff the HOD booth.
    • Maintain and update the Principal Officer’s schedule.
    • Manage project timelines in Smartsheet.
    • Provide administrative support for governance-related events and board meetings.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Additional Details:

    • Schedule flexibility: Expect 40-60 hours/week leading up to the Annual Session.
    • Hourly rate for temp period: $35/hr
    • Potential temp-to-hire opportunity: If converted, the salary range may be in the mid $70Ks–low $80Ks, depending on experience.
    • Open to candidates seeking short-term temporary work through March as well as those interested in a longer-term role.
