You will develop and implement formal policies and procedures for data retrieval and analysis and create verification metrics to ensure process integrity.     The Senior Registry Analyst supports the Registry Department as part of the Combined Analytics team to lead the data extraction, quality assessment and analysis of the Registry Program data.

    • The Senior Registry Analyst will develop formal policy and procedures for data retrieval and analysis.
    • The Senior Registry Analyst will create verification metrics for process and procedures.
    • The role reviews and provides subject matter expertise of relevant orthopaedic literature and requires strong methodological knowledge and writing ability.
    • This position requires a high degree of flexibility, the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and attention to detail.
    • Provides statistical analyses for program wide reporting for registry data such as annual reports, data analyses supporting registry-related publications (abstract, presentations, manuscript), surgeon and/or site-lead registry projects, and support of industry sponsor analytic requests, etc.
    • Maintains the annual development, improvement, and maintenance of member facing resources and performance metrics such as Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR) and other performance measure requirements.
    • Oversees upkeep and compliance of statistical code, analytic methods, definitions, and technical documentation of all measure reporting.
    • Assists with the testing of member-facing analytic resources such as dashboards and automated reports within the Registry Insights platform.
    • Coordinates with Principal Investigators (PIs), surgeon leaders, hospital analytics staff, and various AAOS departments as needed and required for project completion.
    • Contributes to the maintenance and enhancement of statistical code repositories, analytical methodologies, and technical documentation; develop and implement data cleaning, extraction, and analysis processes, assist in policy formulation for data verification and validation, and enhance documentation and onboarding materials for registry analysts.

    Travel:

    • Up to 5 business days per year

    Qualifications:

    Required:

    • Advanced degree in health policy, public health, public policy/administration, health services research, clinical research, epidemiology and/or another related area.
    • Strong background in statistical analysis and models (e.g., uni/multivariate regression, survival analyses/curves)
    • Proficient with statistical analytic software systems such as SAS for complex data analysis.
    • 3-5 years of experience in a health services research or clinical capacity.
    • Proven experience managing complex analytic projects from conception to conclusion including defining project objectives and deliverables.
    • Experience with claims data (e.g., Centers for Medicare and Medicaid data).
    • Proven strength in managing diverse relationships among hospital/health care leaders, colleagues, project partners, and stakeholders.
    • Proven attention to detail and maintenance of data integrity and accuracy
    • Experience with proven communications and human relations skills and progressive levels of responsibility
    • Outstanding oral and written communication, including strong presentation skills.
    • Knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules, PHI, IRB and other relevant regulatory issues.

    Desired:

    • Familiarity and experience with SQL, Python, and excel for complex data analysis.
    • Strong data management skills and experience with high level of data integrity
    • Familiarity with evidence-based medicine, health outcomes, health care quality standards and performance improvement

    Salary Range: $90,000-$100,000

    Please note:

    This hybrid position is based in Rosemont, Illinois and is open to applicants who are able to commute weekly to this office.
