    We are in search of a Public Resource Development Manager for an International Humanitarian Aid Nonprofit Organization in either Washington D.C. or Phoenix, AZ. This is a Full-time, Hybrid, Direct Hire role, with an annual salary range of $95,000-115,000 DOE plus benefits.

    POSITION TITLE: Public Resource Development Manager

    SCHEDULE: Full-Time (40 hrs./wk.)

    DURATION: Direct Hire

    SALARY: $95,000 - 115,000 (DOE) plus benefits

    Is This Your Dream Job? The Public Resources Development Manager will guide efforts to secure funding and resources from public funders to carry out the organization's mission and strategic priorities. The position provides business development leadership and expertise to cross-functional teams throughout the full business development cycle (including tracking, positioning, capture, proposal development, and post-proposal), strengthens business development processes and tools, and builds the business development capacity of team members across the organization.

    Our Ideal Candidate:

    • Proven ability to write or manage the proposal process for multi-million dollar USAID/US Government funding proposals.
    • Bachelor's degree required
    • 5+ years of experience in public resource development and/or international development sector required
    • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time per year in the US and internationally
    • Willingness to sometimes work outside of typical business hours as needed to accommodate time zone differences with colleagues based around the world
    • Fluent in English required; Bilingual a plus
    • Passionate about serving international humanitarian mission through a Jesus-centric lens

    How You Will Spend Your Day:

    • Opportunity tracking: Identify and track potential new funding opportunities from USAID and other funders by analyzing funding trends, monitoring solicitation forecasts, and supporting country and regional teams to generate and use local business intelligence
    • Positioning: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective funders, partners, and stakeholders, in collaboration with teams within the organization.
    • Market the organization's programs and assets and support its visibility as a recognized expert in our field
    • Capture and proposal development: Manage capture and proposal development processes to ensure that final proposals are competitive and responsive to donor priorities, requirements, and evaluation criteria. This includes identifying and securing potential partners; facilitating well-informed bid decisions; identifying proposal teams; managing proposal teams and consortium partners to ensure that roles, responsibilities, and timelines are clear; organizing design meetings; writing sections of proposals; supporting proposal budget development; facilitating proposal reviews; recruiting key personnel; and ensuring final proposals are compliant and competitive
    • Post-proposal: Organize responses to funder questions and requests for revisions; request funder feedback on losses; and organize internal after-action reviews to ensure lessons learned are used to improve future proposals.
    • Business development processes and tools: Implement and strengthen business development processes and tools, such as the bid review process, process for documenting bids in Salesforce, technical design tools, etc
    • Business development capacity building: Meet routinely with assigned country and regional teams to coach and mentor them in business development best practices, including guiding them in developing actionable country/regional business development plans. Coach and mentor proposal teams and lead internal training as needed
    • Other duties as assigned
