    Careers In Nonprofits has been retained by the Alliance to End Homelessness in Suburban Cook County to lead in the search for their next Continuum of Care (CoC) Planning Manager.

    This is a Full-Time, Remote (Suburban Cook County Based) position.

    POSITION TITLE: CoC Planning Manager

    LOCATION: Remote (Suburban Cook County, IL)

    SCHEDULE: Full-Time

    DURATION: Permanent

    SALARY: $68,700 - $71,500

    Is This Your Dream Job? The Continuum of Care (CoC) Planning Manager will be responsible for project management of the Suburban Cook County CoC Strategic Plan and its implementation. The Planning Manager will be responsible for facilitating internal and external stakeholders, collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, and understanding best practices, to be able to create, manage and monitor a 3- to 5-year strategic plan that includes measurable goals to prevent and end homelessness and remove structural barriers to housing in suburban Cook County.

    Our Ideal Candidate:

    • 3-5 years experience in related position analyzing data and creating strategic plans.
    • Demonstrated research ability in identifying, locating, and accessing local, statewide, and national statistics, studies, and other research publications on related issues and analyzing and interpreting those sources.
    • Strong subject matter expertise in homelessness, supportive housing, Housing First and harm reduction, the Continuum of Care process, affordable housing policy, and the nonprofit sector.
    • Excellent verbal, analytic, and written communication skills; ability to convey information in a clear and concise manner for a variety of audiences.
    • Self-directed, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
    • Master’s Degree- Preferred
    • Familiarity with HMIS and STELLA Modeling

    How You Will Spend Your Day:

    • Manage the project of creating, adopting and implementing a strategic plan every 3 to 5 years; this includes coordinating with Executive Director, CoC Planning Director, Alliance staff, Board of Directors, Plan Committee, external consultant(s) and other stakeholders to facilitate focus groups, collect quantitative and qualitative data, set clear timelines, and gather input to define strategic priorities for written strategic plan.
    • Staff lead for monthly Plan Committee meetings; this includes working with committee co-chairs to facilitate meetings and set agendas, developing work plans and timelines, and reporting on progress to Alliance Board of Directors
    • Understand and effectively communicate local, state, and national data and their implications for the Cook County Continuum of Care and their impact on creation and/or monitoring of strategic plan.
    • Provide consistent, accurate information and documentation to all involved parties, as requested or necessary.
    • Assist with development of workable implementation plans that align with goals identified in strategic plan.
    • Maintain collaborative working relationships with community partners, funders, housing and service providers, public officials, people with lived experience of homelessness, and other systems to collaborate on achieving system-level goals identified in strategic plan.
    • Monitor and regularly communicate progress on strategic plan goals in collaboration with Executive Director, CoC Planning Director, Development Director, and other Alliance staff to various audiences and stakeholders.
    • Attend recommended training and conferences to ensure continuous professional development and growing subject matter expertise.
    • Represent the Alliance at community meetings, events and conferences.
    • Other related duties as assigned.
