    We are currently in search of a Manager of Intake for the District Alliance for Safe Housing (DASH). The position is full-time, hybrid based in Washington, DC. This is a Permanent assignment.

    Is This Your Dream Job? The Manager of Intake oversees the operations and service delivery of DASH’s Intake team. The position supervises a team of five staff, providing coaching as well as hands-on support for complex cases. The Manager works with program leadership to ensure budget compliance, program adherence to grant agreements and organizational policies and procedures, and proper program data capture and reporting.

    • 4+ years of experience in nonprofit program management
    • Experience in domestic and sexual violence survivors
    • Knowledge of housing navigation
    • Experience managing budgets & grant performance
    • Experience building & managing partnerships
    • Trauma-informed, Compassionate, and Mission-driven
    • Understanding of cultural diversity, family violence, and hard-to-reach or resistant individuals and families
    • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, human services, or related field
    • COVID-19 vaccination required

    How You Will Spend Your Day:

    Direct Service (25%)

    • Supervises Resource Navigators in the support they provide to survivors in completing needs assessments, supporting safety planning, and identifying housing pathways and additional resources.
    • Implements and manages SRF and SNF in collaboration with Resource Navigators and program leadership and in accordance with DASH’s model, program budgets, and organizational policies and procedures.
    • Supports DASH’s participation in the weekly Housing Resource Clinic, including maintaining a rotating attendance roster for Resource Navigators and providing oversight and assistance to Resource Navigators with individual cases. Identifies and escalates successes, opportunities, and challenges to program leadership.
    • Supports DASH’s partnership with the DC Department of Human Services (DHS) and co-location of DASH staff at VWFRC, including being on-site at VWFRC up to three times a week to support Resource Navigators, maintaining a rotating attendance roster for Resource Navigators and providing oversight and assistance to Resource Navigators with individual cases. Identifies and escalates successes, opportunities, and challenges to program leadership.
    • Coordinates with and makes recommendations to DASH Programs teams and program leadership about survivors who qualify and would benefit from DASH programs. Assists with participant assessment and intake into Cornerstone (including emergency housing), Empowerment Project, and Right to Dream.
    • Maintains accurate and timely documentation for individual survivors.
    • Advocates to senior leadership for needs that existing resources or partners cannot meet.

    Resource and Partnership Management (15%)

    • Works with program leadership to develop and implement standard operating procedures for DASH intake as well as additional internal resources that support staff and strengthen service delivery.
    • Supports Resource Navigators to identify resources, programs, and partnerships in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) area to help survivors achieve safety and related goals.
    • Provides information and guidance about to partner agencies about resources, programs, and partnerships in the DMV area, including DASH programs and resources.
    • Maintains relationships and collaborates with key partners, including Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) program partners, community partners and services, and funders, to expand opportunities and resources for survivors.
    • Works in partnership with program leadership to support the design, implementation, and delivery of comprehensive training programs for external partners, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and identifying and leveraging new and effective training methods and ways of learning. This includes developing training materials, facilitating workshops, and providing ongoing support to enhance the skills and knowledge of external partners.
    • Contributes to the assessment of the effectiveness of existing partnerships, including identifying and escalating successes, opportunities, and challenges to program leadership. Supports implementation of identified improvements and adjustments as needed to optimize outcomes and ensure sustained mutual benefit.

    Program Management (30%)

    • Supports the development and maintenance of workplans to ensure program delivery and data reporting for the Intake team, including SRF and SNF and all supporting partnerships. Supports the identification of timelines for achieving workplan scope and targets and developing and implementing best practices to support achievement.
    • Works with program leadership to manage the Intake team’s program budget (including SRF and SNF) and oversees program expenses within their approved budget and grant awards.
    • Triages and serves as a leader in solving day-to-day programmatic escalations, including survivor complaints, difficulties with program partners, and program non-compliance.
    • Identifies and addresses gaps in knowledge, skills, resources, and partnerships to strengthen service delivery.
    • Ensures staff consistently apply the DASH model and organizational policies and procedures for effective service delivery.
    • Contributes to the development of programmatic reports and data reporting, helping to ensure accurate and timely dissemination of information to internal and external stakeholders. Collaborates with program staff to analyze and present data.
    • Understands grant requirements and ensures program and service delivery balances grant requirements and DASH’s trauma-based, survivor-informed values. Ensures program and service compliance with federal, state, and local confidentiality and victim services laws and regulations.
    • Works in partnership with program leadership and program staff to support detailed recordkeeping and ensure the accuracy of files, fostering an organized and transparent system that facilitates efficient retrieval and utilization of essential information.
    • Ensures staff rigorously maintain financial safeguards and uphold internal controls.
    • Helps to ensure audit readiness of Intake budgets and portfolios, including SRF and SNF.

    Leadership and Team Management (30%)

    • Supervises and supports the Intake team. Attracts, develops, coaches, and retains high-performance team members, empowering them to elevate their level of responsibility, span of control, and performance. Delegate work streams effectively, fostering professional growth and motivating and holding team members to a high standard of excellence and accountability.
    • Implements ongoing coaching for Resource Navigators, fostering a culture of continuous learning, skill-building, and empowerment to enhance their effectiveness in delivering high-quality services to survivors. Supports staff to develop problem-solving skills and leads team brainstorming to respond to nuanced and individualized cases.
    • Ensures Resource Navigators understand how to implement their work according to the model of voluntary service and trauma-informed care for clients, the DASH model, and grant requirements. Ensures Resource Navigators consistently apply the DASH model and organizational policies and procedures for effective service delivery throughout programs.
    • Identifies team training needs and consults with program leadership and People & Culture to find or develop appropriate training resources.
    • Assists in fostering a collaborative and innovative program culture that encourages continuous improvement and learning.
    • Models DASH’s standard of understanding, sensitivity, and responsiveness to cultural differences in the organization’s service and employee population.
    • Masters, communicates, and models DASH values.

    DASH benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, with DASH covering 90% of the employee’s premium and 80% for spouse and children.

    The salary range is $70,000-$75,000 with a starting salary of $72,100.
