Earthjustice's Community Partnerships Program (CPP) works with frontline communities disproportionately burdened by pollution and environmental harms to challenge the environmental and social status quo. CPP is seeking a One-Year Project Attorney for additional support as the team anticipates a very active docket and as a team member transitions back from leave. The Project Attorney will primarily support the Los Angeles-based CPP team but may also support CPP staff in New York and Washington, D.C.
Under the guidance and supervision of a Supervising Senior Attorney, the Project Attorney will provide support to CPP's coalition and litigation work and act as a co-counsel on cases. For example, by conducting factual investigation and legal research; case development; participating in court and administrative proceedings; managing the administration of and participating in coalition meetings; and drafting various legal and advocacy-related documents. The successful candidate may have the opportunity to lead a case.
This is a full-time role (37.5 hours/week). The successful candidate will start ASAP and work for 12 months. This is a hybrid position based out of our Los Angeles, CA office.

Salaries at Earthjustice are determined by experience level and working location. The salary range for this role based out of Los Angeles, CA is: $120,600 - $125,300.
