    Location: New Hampshire - remote and Concord. This is a flexible hybrid schedule, as the Organizing Director may work remotely or out of our Concord, NH office. There will also be regular in-person requirements for meetings and events in Concord, NH.

    New Hampshire Peace Action Education Fund (NHPA Education Fund) is a non-profit member organization that works in conjunction with the national Peace Action to shift spending from the Pentagon to fund human needs, address US foreign policy, and reduce the threats posed by nuclear weapons.

    NHPA Education Fund members are dedicated to making a contribution to world peace. We envision a world in which nuclear disarmament, mutual security, global understanding, international cooperation, and respect for human rights create social, economic, and environmental benefits for all humanity. NHPA provides outreach and education on peace and justice issues, organizes vigils and demonstrations, lobbies elected representatives, provides a quarterly newsletter and weekly email list of upcoming events, and provides opportunities for direct action.

    The Opportunity

    NHPA Education Fund seeks an Organizing Director to join our passionate team. This role is an excellent opportunity to work with an established organization to build a peaceful and just future for all. The Organizing Director will partner with experienced volunteer leadership, the Board of Directors, and a part-time administrator to facilitate actions and educational programming, build membership, and implement strategic goals for 501c3 (NHPA Education Fund) and 501c4 (NHPA) organizations.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Work with the Board to develop, implement, and evaluate strategic goals.
    • Develop strategic campaigns and facilitate public education, demonstrations, actions, and response.
    • Maintain and expand membership and organizational relationships with diverse groups, in person and online.
    • Be part of ensuring that organizational administrative, financial, and fundraising responsibilities are met, including through reports and by participating in board meetings.
    • Create opportunities for volunteer and board participation and leadership.

    What You’ll Need:

    • Experience organizing people and activities.
    • Familiarity with dynamics of U.S foreign policy.
    • Ability to work some weekends and evenings.
    • Ability to work with people with various levels of experience.
    • Interpersonal skills - good listener; collaborative leader.
    • Computer and social media skills and excellent written and oral communication abilities.
    • Willingness to learn and to ask for help.

    • Organized and detail-oriented.
    • Able to effectively manage own workload; self-directed and motivated.

    You’d Be An Exceptionally Strong Candidate If You Have:

    • The ability to think big and creatively when strategizing.
    • Experience and willingness to speak at public events.
    • An awareness of how militarism intersects with injustice and oppression.
    • Access to a car/driver and license.
    • Experience working alone and in coalition, building relationships across issues and differences.
    • The ability to work with people at various levels of experience, i.e., with information technology.

    • Benefits: Flexible hours; paid holidays; 4-6 weeks of flexible time off; some health reimbursement and retirement support.
    • Location: Must live in or be willing to relocate to New Hampshire. Relocation assistance is negotiable. This is a flexible hybrid schedule, as the Organizing Director may work remotely or out of our Concord, NH office. There will also be regular in-person requirements for meetings and events in Concord, NH.
