At Recreation District #1/Pelican Park, we believe in “Making a Difference” by providing a place where individuals of all ages can grow, connect, and thrive.
Our mission is to create lasting memories, foster connections, and build a stronger, more vibrant community for all who live in St. Tammany Parish and the surrounding areas.
Our goal is to enrich the lives of children, adults, and families through a wide range of programs; whether it’s through youth and adult sports, fitness classes, outdoor adventures, senior activities, or fun community events. We offer safe, welcoming spaces including sports fields, gyms, nature centers, and the Castine Center event venue that bring people together.
