The Northampton County Conservation District is one of 66 Conservation Districts statewide and nearly 3000 nationwide dedicated to conserving soil and water resources. The Northampton County Conservation District's main goals are to promote soil conservation, maintain or improve water quality and promote environmental education. To achieve these goals, the Conservation District performs a variety of programs ranging from reviewing erosion and sediment pollution control plans for earth disturbance activities to providing advice on starting a local watershed association and so much more.
To provide the public with a coordinated program of quality natural resource education and conservation within Northampton County.
The Northampton County Conservation District is looking to create a pool of potential volunteers for our upcoming activities and events. Whether it’s assisting high school students at the PA Envirothon or working hands-on on a stream restoration project, we want you to be a part of our mission! If you are interested in joining our volunteer team please contact Janet Creegan at 610-829-6282 M-F 8am-4pm.
