The Presidio Trust is seeking a Communications and Community Relations Specialist in the Communications Department. The Presidio Trust is an innovative federal agency that stewards and shares the history, beauty, and wonder of the Presidio for everyone to enjoy forever. The ancestral homeland of the Ramaytush Ohlone, the Presidio was once a military post under three flags. Today, it is a surprising national park site spanning 1,500 acres at the Golden Gate. It is among the most biologically diverse parks in America and a popular destination with beaches, museums, restaurants, hotels, homes, and offices.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Communications and working closely with the Senior Advisor for Government Relations, the Communications and Community Relations Specialist develops and implement initiatives to enhance the Presidio Trust’s relationships with key audiences and manage the agency’s reputation. The role leads proactive and reactive communication around the Presidio Trust’s park maintenance and improvement projects. It is the point of contact to respond to and report on public inquiries, concerns, and feedback, and drives the expert positioning initiative. This position also provides support to related Marketing and Communications functions, particularly media relations.
This is a full-time position with benefits and a 2025 starting pay range of $80,345 to $99,124, based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The starting base salary is dependent on the experience and qualifications of the candidate. Applications received by December 18, 2024 will receive first consideration.
