Rackets Investigator/Hotline Operator
The Office of the Queens County District Attorney (QDA) is seeking candidates for Hotline Operator positions within QDA’s Detective Investigator Squad, which serves an office of over 800 staff. The 24-hour hotline is a system where the public is routed to report incidents, complaints or crimes being committed within Queens County. The Hotline Operators will be responsible for monitoring events within the county of Queens and notifying specified personnel.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college; or high school graduation and two years of full-time paid experience in police enforcement or investigative work; or a satisfactory equivalent.
Prior law enforcement experience is preferred. Knowledge of the NYPD, NYS penal code, NYPD radio codes, NYPD protocols and the NYPD Patrol Guide is also preferred.
APPLICATION INFORMATION:
Salary:$58,239, after completion of one year of service, salary: $68,046.

Schedule:Operators will work a 16-hour shift on a rotation schedule which includes Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
