    Description

    This position will be a live-out Chef for an executive. This is a one-year Contract position that maybe extended without competition.

    We are looking for a highly organized, attentive and detailed oriented Chef. This role requires a proactive individual with exceptional attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle a variety of tasks efficiently.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for planning menus, purchasing, preparing, and serving food for the Primary Residence.
    • Responsible for preparing meals following family members' dietary requirements.
    • Responsible for preparing meals for private dinners and special events held in the Primary Residence.
    • Responsible for on-call catering needs as the schedule updates, whether at the residence or at a different venue.

    Travel Required: No Travel Required

    Qualifications

    • Proven experience as a Chef in a similar position in a hotel setting.
    • Understanding of various cooking methods, regions, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
    • Minimum Two (2) years of industry experience as a supervisory role in an established and recognized food service establishment.
    • Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions.
    • Familiar with industry s best practices and must possess basic computational ability and possess basic computer skills.
    • BS degree in Culinary science or related certificate would be a plus.

    The employee will be reimbursed for the cost of her health insurance premiums at a rate equal to the lesser of 75% or $8,500. The employee will be covered for New York State Unemployment Insurance, New York Disability Insurance, and Workers Compensation Insurance.

    Applicable Social Security Tax (FICA) will be deducted from the employee's pay. Federal Income Tax, New York State and New York City withholding tax, as appropriate, will be deducted from the employee’s salary.
