    Description

    The purpose of this class is to perform standard administrative duties in coordinating the daily operations of assigned College division or function.

    Minimum Requirements

    Bachelor’s Degree and three years of recent experience in grant proposal management and writing, either for higher education, nonprofits, or government work. Understanding of government grant regulations preferred. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record containing five (5) or less violation points on the driving record.

    Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field. Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale.

    Class Specific Essential Duties

    1. Coordinate a functional process within assigned College department or division.
    2. Monitor compliance with department policies and procedures.
    3. Maintain department records and files, as required.
    4. Serve as point of contact for internal and external organizations.
    5. Represent the College and/or department at events, as required.
    6. Prepare, analyze and provide reports on miscellaneous subjects, as requested.

    Position Specific Essential Duties

    1. Plan, develop, coordinate, and write original grant proposals for CCBC to public federal and state government agencies, institutions, local government, or units of local government.
    2. Research information on funding opportunities identified by the Director of Grants Development and match them with college needs.
    3. Perform research to collect needed economic and/or demographic data in support of grant proposal development.
    4. Develop complex budgets that meet fiscal requirements of funding agencies.
    5. Assemble and submit grant requests which include narratives up to dozens of pages in length containing partner letters, complex budgets, and attachments.
    6. Prioritize projects to keep multiple projects moving in a timely manner, meet deadlines and manage supplemental material required for proposals’
    7. Manage a portfolio of 20 to 25 major grants on an annual basis.
    8. Develop and maintain a working knowledge of CCBC's priority areas; gain knowledge of faculty program interests and program areas with potential for growth.
    9. Participate in college meetings, events, and activities as appropriate and represent the department at community meetings and college functions.

    Long-Term Disability

    Plan pays 60% of gross monthly salary after 90 consecutive days of absence. Employee pays 100% of premium.

The Roth 403(b) savings feature is only offered by the following vendors: TIAA-CREF and VOYA Financial Advisors, Inc. Adjunct Faculty, Part Time Associates and Full Time employees are eligible to save for retirement using the Roth 403(b) savings feature. Employees may contribute traditional pre-tax 403(b) dollars and Roth 403(b) post-tax dollars simultaneously. The savings limits are combined for the Traditional 403(b) and the Roth 403(b) contributions.
