Introducing: Recipes for Action
Is all of the trouble in the world bringing you down? Looking for ways to do good, foster community, and bring a little joy to others?
Let me introduce you to our newest initiative for building a better world: Recipes for Action.
What is Recipes for Action?
Recipes for Action is a space for like-hearted individuals to share kind and innovative ideas for community-oriented action. Each recipe offers step-by-step guidance, as well as the time commitment and supplies needed, to complete projects ranging from the short term, like How to Host a Card-Making Party, to the long term, like How to Start a Repair Café.
Our goal is to create a global, crowdsourced collection of tested recipes for community action.
How does Recipes for Action fit into Idealist's mission?
Since our founding in 1995, our mission has been to help build a world where all people can lead free and dignified lives. We believe this can be achieved by bridging the gap between intention and action.
Throughout the past 20+ years, we've connected millions of people with social-impact job, internship, and volunteer opportunities, but we've also inspired others to take action in their communities. Recipes for Action is our latest initiative to share ideas, build community, and do good together.
