    Our client, Rewriting the Code, is looking for the ideal candidate that will thrive in a role that blends strategic thinking, relationship-building, and hands-on execution. Join Rewriting the Code (RTC) as a Business Development Associate and play a pivotal role in driving their mission to empower women in technology.

    This is a full-time, remote-first position with a preference for candidates local to the Raleigh-Durham, NC area.

    About this Role

    Directly support the CEO in doing their best work identifying, developing, and securing strategic partnerships that drive RTC’s mission forward. From qualifying leads and creating customized proposals to collaborating with cross-functional teams, your work will directly contribute to building meaningful connections that grow RTC’s impact around the world.

    What You'll Do

    • Qualify inbound leads through discovery conversations, assessing alignment with RTC's mission, and preparing them for CEO follow-up.
    • Maintain accurate records of partnership accounts, including itineraries and meeting reports.
    • Research potential partners, provide insights to the CEO, and participate in sales calls as needed.
    • Manage deal logistics, including meeting coordination, follow-ups, and CRM updates for seamless client experiences.
    • Collaborate with the CEO to create proposals, sponsorship packages, and tailored partnership opportunities.
    • Work with internal teams to develop customized proposals and materials that strengthen partnerships.
    • Create engaging content for email campaigns, proposals, and sales collateral.
    • Represent RTC at events and conferences alongside the CEO.
    • Track and analyze sales metrics, delivering insights to support strategy and revenue growth.

    What You’ll Bring

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related fields.
    • At least 3 years of experience in business development, fundraising, or sales support roles (preferably in nonprofit or B2B setting).
    • Experience supporting corporate partnerships and/or grant proposal writing.
    • Proficiency with CRM tools (HubSpot preferred), marketing automation, and office platforms (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace).

    Competitive Compensation. We are dedicated to pay equity best practices, which also ensures our offers are presently fairly, and represent our best and final. The nationwide starting salary range for this position is $77,000-$85,000. Offers are determined through interviews, reviewing and assessing a candidate's qualifications (experience, education, knowledge, skills, abilities), internal equity and alignment with market data.
