    Summary

    As a JCA Senior Consultant, you are part of a collaborative team of professionals dedicated to delivering high quality billable services to nonprofits in the areas of technology and operations. You play a critical role in leading client engagements, working both independently and as part of a team, ensuring that our projects successfully achieve their objectives.

    This position requires strong analytical, communication, and client relationship skills, coupled with expertise in database administration for Salesforce solutions. You understand the intersection of people, process, and technology, are dedicated to continuous learning and thought leadership, and are passionate about helping nonprofits achieve their mission.

    Responsibilities

    Consulting

    • Deliver high-quality consulting services to nonprofit clients, aligning technology and data with strategy.
    • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring timely and successful execution.
    • Provide strategic direction to project teams, proactively addressing issues to drive project success.
    • Understand, explore, use, make decisions with, and communicate using data.
    • Engage with stakeholders to elicit and document requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and project goals.
    • Develop actionable recommendations supported by thorough analysis and documentation.
    • Lead the design and implementation of ingenious fundraising and marketing strategies.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert in at least one JCA consulting specialization:
      • Data Ecosystem Strategy – Lead strategy assessment and roadmap, solution selection, and implementation projects designed to align, build, and nurture nonprofit data ecosystems.
      • Database Administration – Provide business process design, data assessment & cleanup, documentation, reporting, system configuration, and training services for Blackbaud CRM, Raiser’s Edge NXT, Kindsight ascend, Salesforce NPSP/NPC, and/or Tessitura.
      • Data Analysis & Strategy – Lead research, analysis, and/or marketing engagements to translate data insights into actionable strategies and campaigns for ticketing, marketing, fundraising, and event programming. Provide training, consulting, and product development support for Vivian, JCA’s flagship analytics tool.
    • Expand consulting expertise through continuous learning and development to enhance JCA’s offerings and contribute to a diverse range of projects.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge and contribute to the development of internal resources, consulting processes, thought leadership, and new offerings.
    • Recruit and maintain relationships with subcontractors as needed.

    Thought Leadership

    • Create insightful and engaging content that showcases JCA’s industry knowledge and expertise.
    • Represent JCA at conferences, webinars, and events, delivering presentations and participating in panel discussions.

    Client Relationship Management

    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, prospects, key stakeholders, and partners to enhance JCA’s reputation and influence.
    • Identify opportunities for new and expanded projects.
    • Lead sales opportunities from initiation to closure, including scoping, pricing, and contracting.
    • Assist with opportunities by participating in sales presentations and by providing other support as needed.

    Skills

    You are successful as the Senior Consultant because you:

    • have demonstrated expertise in Salesforce configuration, customization, data migration using Data Loader, Lightning Reports, user management, and the installation and management of integrated applications;
    • have experience working with or within nonprofit organizations, understanding their unique challenges and opportunities;
    • have demonstrated ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, to all stakeholders;
    • successfully manage projects by adapting approaches to align with client needs and constraints, fostering collaboration and achieving positive outcomes;
    • cultivate strong, collaborative relationships to drive client success, provide exceptional service, and proactively identify opportunities for deeper engagement;
    • seek and provide constructive feedback to promote continuous improvement and enhance project and team performance;
    • excel in collaborative team environments, contributing positively to group dynamics and shared goals;
    • demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, effectively prioritizing tasks, managing projects simultaneously, and consistently meeting deadlines; and
    • are proactive and self-motivated, taking initiative and working independently with minimal supervision.

    Qualifications

    You are qualified for the position because you:

    • have a minimum of five years’ experience in the nonprofit industry;
    • have demonstrated subject matter expertise, with a minimum of three years’ experience in Salesforce Database Administration;
    • have a minimum of one year’s experience leading projects using a standardized project management methodology; and
    • have a minimum of two years’ experience in a consulting role.

    You have an advantage in the position if you:

    • have Salesforce Database Administration experience with a nonprofit solution such as Kindsight ascend, Salesforce NPSP, or Salesforce NPC;
    • have demonstrated subject matter expertise and experience in more than one of JCA’s consulting specializations;
    • have a PMP certification or equivalent knowledge.

    Requirements

    You may be required to:

    • work remotely from a home office or other remote space;
    • work 40 hours per week, as this is a full-time position;
    • maintain standard North American business hours with some flexibility;
    • travel up to 10% of business days with easy access to airport; and
    • remain in a stationary position for the majority of an eight-hour workday.
