Fundraising Strategist

The Collectif is seeking consultants to join our global network of strategists to the progressive nonprofit and philanthropic sector. Anchored in decades of experience with nonprofits and philanthropy, we are a collection of innovative thinkers who question traditional practices in search of better solutions. Our mission is to fundamentally shift the impact of organizations working for social change.

Our Executive Team is responsible for business development and securing new clients, and our Team Strategists perform the scope of work, supported by their colleagues for subject expertise and contract deliverables. For a motivated professional with an entrepreneurial spirit, there is excellent potential for this position to grow into a partnership role. We are in active growth mode with multiple client prospects in the pipeline.

Please be in touch if you are an established independent consulting professional with specialized knowledge and experience in the following: institutional grants, individual giving programs, strategic planning, grant evaluation and compliance, prospect research and relationship building, private equity fundraising, government grants, event planning and implementation, board development and training, communications, meeting facilitation, DEI training and strategy, philanthropic advising, interim executive leadership, or corporate sustainability.

Minimum Qualifications

• 10 to 15 years of experience your areas of specialization
• A track record in securing gifts from individuals and institutions
• Global perspective and international experience
• Deep background in social justice

Our team is fully remote, with team members in France, Senegal, the United States, Canada, Mexico and Philippines. Consultants located in the Global South are especially encouraged to apply.

Compensation ranges between $70 to $140 per hour on a consultant basis, contingent upon client contracts. As a collaborating network of independent professionals, there is no base salary attached to this position. Our hourly rates are determined by type of service, the size of the client’s organization, and the amount of their campaign goal or project budget.
