    Description

    Essential Job Duties: Development Strategist

    English Hudson strategists provide clients with a variety of consulting services including but not limited to:

    • Fundraising strategy: Continuously learn, develop, and implement best practices in fundraising strategy; proactively share strategies with clients and act as a thought partner both internally and externally.
    • Innovation: Continuously learn best practices in fundraising strategy to stay abreast of changes in the market, industry, and client’s organization – especially shifts and changes that impact fundraising. Contribute to forward thinking for improvement and tailor practices to align with EH’s core values.
    • Client management: Manage all aspects of client work according to scope of work, including goals related to fundraising or other client deliverables.
    • Content generation: assist with the generation of collateral when required, including grant proposals, reports, and other writing assets.
    • Project management: Maintain client pipelines and management of deadlines to optimize workflow.
    • Quality control: Provide first review of projects generated by EH writers to ensure quality and compliance with funder guidelines.
    • Time management: collaborate with all EH consultants involved in a project to ensure on-time deliverables.
    • Systems: Utilize EH systems and databases.
    • Collaboration: Work collegially on all assigned projects with the client and the EH team.
    • Culture: Contribute to a culture of feedback and collegiality.
    • Research: Conduct research and compile/analyze data as needed.
    • Additional Responsibilities: this role may encompass other responsibilities as needed to support the evolving needs of English Hudson.

    • Strong working knowledge of office applications and online collaboration tools, such as Google suite, Sharepoint, One Drive, Dropbox, Adobe PDF, DocuSign, Zoom, etc.
    • Familiarity with online grant applications required.
    • Ability to learn and use company-specific software.
