    We are Wingo NYC – a fundraising, events, and digital communications agency with nearly 30 years of furthering the missions of 300+ nonprofit organizations fighting for social, cultural and environmental justice. We are a growing team of 16 creatives, producers, designers, and relationship builders who understand our work as a form of advocacy, a way to create community and change.

    This is a great opportunity for a designer who wants to use their talents to create social change. This full-time staff position will create and manage graphic design for our nonprofit clients. The job includes print, social and web design, from concept to production all related to nonprofit marketing. The designer will work closely with client managers and events staff and report to the Senior Graphic Designer.

    Duties:

    • Work with clients to discern and ideate design direction and implementation of complete design process including concept, drafts, feedback and approvals, and publishing
    • Design and produce materials for Wingo NYC clients including but not limited to:
      • Graphics for digital campaigns
      • Digital assets for social media
      • Animated online graphics
      • Logo and branding creation
      • Email appeals and promotions
      • Special event invitations and collateral
      • Direct mail and e-newsletters
      • Annual and impact reports
      • Case statements
      • Printed brochures and stewardship materials
      • Websites and webpage design
    • Work closely with printer and mail house, bid jobs and work with client to understand bid, printing process and manage timeline.

    The ideal candidate:

    • 1-2 years graphic design experience who can fill this role with competence, grace and humor
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects)
    • Competency in social media
    • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment/ability to manage multiple projects and clients
    • Excellent customer service/client engagement skills
    • Passion for social justice and furthering the missions of nonprofit organizations
    • Ability and desire to work with diverse people
    • Experience working with nonprofit organizations
    • Self-starter, takes initiative, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
    • Impeccable eye for detail
    • Ability to be flexible and pivot
    • Be able to work evenings periodically for client special events

    Hours and Compensation

    • Hours: Monday - Friday 10 AM to 6 PM (option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays)
    • The starting annual salary range for this position based in our sun-filled office in New York City is $50,000 to $55,000, depending on experience. Wingo NYC is a positive work environment with wonderful colleagues and clients.
    • Benefits include fifteen days paid time off plus additional end-of-year office closure days, eleven holidays, five sick days, $550 per month towards health insurance, and access to dental and vision insurance, commuter benefits, 401(k) and more.
