    Pilot Coordinator - Greater Houston Area

    Contract Position: February 15, 2025 – August 15, 2025

    About the Project

    Dalberg Design, in partnership with the Houston Endowment, is launching a human-centered design initiative to enhance naturalization rates among eligible individuals in the Houston metro area. Building on prior research and prototyping efforts, the initiative enters its pilot phase with two key components:

    1. Citizenship Circles: Group sessions fostering trust, confidence, and knowledge for participants navigating the naturalization process.
    2. Citizenship Navigators: One-on-one guidance from trained individuals supporting participants’ journeys to citizenship.

    The Pilot Coordinator will play a vital role in ensuring smooth execution of these pilots through logistics, training delivery, data tracking, and partner collaboration.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Training Support:
      • Assist in delivering in-person training for Citizenship Circle Facilitators and Navigators.
      • Refine training materials for alignment with participant needs.
    • Stakeholder Coordination:
      • Act as a liaison between partner organizations and the project team.
      • Manage logistical updates with partners alongside the Community Collaboration Lead.
    • Outreach Facilitation:
      • Guide outreach efforts by partner organizations, facilitators, and navigators.
      • Ensure alignment with project engagement strategies.
    • Pilot Implementation:
      • Maintain communication with facilitators and navigators for guidance and support.
      • Troubleshoot and resolve pilot-related challenges.
    • Data Management:
      • Oversee deployment of data collection tools and ensure accuracy in reporting.
    • Progress Reporting:
      • Regularly update project partners on pilot milestones, challenges, and achievements.
    • Evaluation and Synthesis:
      • Participate in post-pilot assessments and contribute to sustainability recommendations.

    Key Qualifications

    • Experience in project coordination, outreach, or community campaigns.
    • Strong organizational skills with an ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Familiarity with data collection tools (e.g., Excel, Google Forms).
    • Capacity to work independently within a remote, dispersed team.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Knowledge of naturalization processes or immigration programming.
    • Prior experience with pilot programs or community-based initiatives.
    • Familiarity with Houston’s naturalization ecosystem and stakeholders.

    Compensation & Terms

    • $35-45/hour as a full-time contractor.
    • Period: February 15, 2025 – August 15, 2025, with a potential extension.
    • Based in Greater Houston Area with frequent in-person responsibilities.
