    Description

    About Us

At Sonic Connections, our mission is to integrate music with personal and professional development. Our immersive, experiential workshops bring applied psychology to life through sound to equip people with skills that help them thrive.

Our current programs focus on supporting: students, faculty/staff/employees, the LGBTQ+ community, and healthcare professionals. For more details, please visit our website.

    Role Summary

We’re looking for a savvy, get-things-done Outreach & Partnerships Coordinator to help get our programs in front of the right people. If you get a rush from finding leads, crafting compelling + values-driven messaging, and turning interest—whether inbound or cold—into real partnerships, you are exactly who we’re looking for. Ideal for a digital nomad or freelancer looking to help build something meaningful and purpose-driven.

    Hours & Compensation

To start, this is a part-time role of up to 10 hours per week at $25/hour. It’s fully remote and can grow into a strategic, long-term partnerships position with increased opportunities for conference travel, campaign development, and real input into our growth strategy. As we scale, there’s potential for increased hours and pay.

    What You’ll Do

    • Research, identify, and compile lists of prospects at colleges, healthcare systems, and mission-aligned companies who care about personal and professional development—think CHROs, employee wellness leads, DEI Officers, Counseling Center Directors, student government leaders, etc.
    • Create and implement email outreach campaigns using tools like Mailshake, Lemlist, and YAMM, leveraging merge fields and templates that feel personalized and human.
    • Lead discovery calls with potential partners. You’ll represent Sonic with clarity and warmth, walking decision-makers through our offerings, asking strategic questions to understand their goals, and helping them determine if our workshops are the right fit.
    • Keep an ongoing pipeline of communication organized using Gmail, Copper CRM, Google Sheets, and other systems we already have in place (and improve them if you see a better way).
    • Ideate and implement creative growth strategies such as conference appearances, partnerships with professional associations / influencers, direct mail campaigns, social media content, and other inbound efforts that build visibility and drive interest in our work.

    Who Are You?

As our Sonic Connections outreach and partnerships person, it is likely you are:

    • An inbox zero nerd and spreadsheet wizard. You manage high volumes of communication with ease, email templates are your best friend, and you navigate tools like Excel and Google Sheets with confidence.
    • A research genius. You can reverse engineer any prospect's email address and dig up the perfect details to personalize outreach.
    • A natural connector. You know how to build relationships and close deals without sounding like a salesperson.
    • A hustler. You're looking to grow fast, put in the reps, and level up your skillset in a real, hands-on way.
    • Driven by purpose. You care deeply about the intersection of art, wellness, and human development, and want to be part of something that makes a difference.

    Essentials for This Role

    • Experience in sales, business development, or community outreach. You’ve booked gigs, closed deals, or built partnerships in a nonprofit, startup, or mission-driven business setting.
    • You have proficiency with sales automation tools, AI, and CRMs. You’ve run outbound campaigns using platforms similar to Mailshake, PersistIQ, or Lemlist, tracked relationships in tools like Copper, Google Sheets, or Insightly, and have used AI to speed up research, personalize outreach, and optimize workflows.
    • You can write a cold email and generate outreach ideas that actually get replies. You know how to influence action through well-crafted messaging and can cut through noise with copy that feels personal and polished.

    How to Stand Out

    • You understand modern lead gen. You're excited to help us move beyond cold email outreach and build a marketing flywheel by blending sales automation with inbound strategies like conference appearances, content marketing, direct mail, and value-first campaigns that drive workshop bookings and long-term partnerships.
    • You’re based in or near New York. While this role is fully remote and can be done from anywhere in the U.S., proximity to NYC is a plus—it’s where our founder is based.
    • You’re in this for the long haul. Whether you’re looking to expand your client roster or carve out a deeper role over time, you’re excited about joining something that is growing.
    • You’ve worked deep inside higher ed, healthcare, or corporate environments. You understand institutional structures, internal dynamics, and how to identify and reach the right decision-makers.
    • You have an eye for design and know how to use it. Whether it’s crafting eye-catching visuals for outreach, designing compelling direct mail pieces, or using AI tools to quickly mock up attention-grabbing graphics, you understand that how things look affects how they’re received.
    • You have a personal connection to our mission. Whether through music, art, mindfulness, wellness, or mental health/fitness, you feel genuinely aligned with the purpose behind this work and the people it serves.
