    Fellowship position: Advertising

    Compensation: $20/hr

    Hours: 9-6, Monday - Friday

    Location: Hybrid/NY, DC, LA, SF

    Advertising Fellow

    Description of duties include, but are not limited to:

    Trafficking and Media Deployment

    • Assist with trafficking advertising campaigns
    • Assist with updates to trafficking spreadsheets to ensure internal and external alignment.
    • Coordinate creative production across teams
    • Review creative assets for correct specifications

    Research and Reporting

    • Assist with researching publicly available information regarding demographics and attitudes of audiences.
    • Assist with collating reporting from vendors and platforms weekly and monthly.

    Digital Marketing

    • Assist with installing Google Tag Manager on agency-developed websites.
    • Assist with the development and tracking of UTM codes for ad source attribution.
    • Assist with compiling email and SMS reporting for direct response campaigns.
    • Assist with copywriting and content development of email, SMS, or social media campaigns as needed
    • Assist with loading email and SMS campaign sends, including quality assurance and launch.
    • Conduct basic QA checks on landing page

    Administrative

    • Serve as a principal note-taker on internal and external calls.
    • Schedule meetings with agency and client teams
    • Support in preparing client presentation decks

    Client Relations and Project Management

    • Assist with the preparation of and/or review of activity reports and status reports for clients
    • Track creative deadlines and maintain organizational systems set up by team project manager

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

    • Bachelor’s degree or related experience; non-traditional educational paths are welcome!
    • Has an affinity for advertising and marketing and the creative/production process of communication materials
    • Demonstrated writing and research skills
    • Passion for communications (what gets clicks, why words matter and so much more)
    • Ability to work on multiple projects and effectively pivot from one to the next in a fast-paced environment
    • Attention to detail and organization
    • Interested in social issues
    • Working knowledge of Google Analytics and other insight/ traffic tools
    • Experience with Email CRMs like Action Network, EveryAction, Mailchimp, Customer.IO a plus

    Capstone Presentation

    With guidance and mentorship from your Fellow advisor, you will develop a 5-10 minute presentation at the completion of the fellowship to Fenton staff outlining your role on a client project you learned from and want to share. The presentation will include conveying the strategies, tools and tactics used to approach the project, as well as results you were able to achieve and what was learned.
