    Description

    Overview:

Our mission is to serve nonprofits across the world with free, easy-to-use fundraising tools. We are obsessed with continually improving our platform to make nonprofit leaders’ lives easier and amplify their ability to do good through our powerful all-in-one platform.

BetterWorld offers over 100,000 nonprofits a platform of nine interconnected fundraising tools. In this role, you'll work closely with our leadership team to ensure our content reflects the same standard of excellence – not just meeting industry norms, but surpassing them through creative storytelling, elegant design, and empathy for our core users.

We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Content Manager to join our team. With that said, we care far more about who you are than what you’ve done. Here are some of the qualities our ideal candidate possesses:

    • Extremely positive demeanor – You are definitely a glass-half-full person!
    • Hardworking – We want team members who appreciate independence and prove they are worthy of the trust we put in them.
    • Organized – You love lists, creating structure, and hitting deadlines.
    • Excellent attention to detail – No detail is too small. You care about the small things and take pride in things being right.
    • Good sense of humor – We work hard but don’t take ourselves too seriously. Life is too short!
    • Kind and empathetic – Great team culture often comes down to empathy. We want someone who goes the extra mile.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Fast learner – You like new challenges and throw yourself into picking things up quickly.

As a Content Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to influence the experience of thousands of nonprofits while helping shape the trajectory of our growth.

Your Role & Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

    • Content Creation & Management:
      • Develop and execute a content strategy that aligns with BetterWorld’s mission and goals.
      • Create, edit, and publish high-quality content across blogs, newsletters, social media, and marketing materials.
      • Manage an editorial calendar to ensure consistent, timely, and strategic content delivery.
      • Conduct research on current trends, challenges, and success stories within the nonprofit sector to inform content creation.
      • Collaborate with the leadership, product, and marketing teams to define content priorities, key messaging, and storytelling opportunities.
      • Create compelling, mission-driven written and visual content for multiple platforms, including:
        • Educational guides, eBooks, and video scripts.
        • Case studies that highlight success stories from nonprofits using BetterWorld’s platform.
        • Blogs and thought leadership articles showcasing nonprofit fundraising best practices and industry trends.
        • Social media posts that drive engagement, foster community, and grow BetterWorld’s reach.
        • Email newsletters designed to educate and inspire our audience, driving platform usage.
        • Web copy and FAQs that simplify complex ideas and support user experience.
      • Collaborate with designers to ensure content is visually appealing, on-brand, and aligned with user expectations.
      • Repurpose high-performing content into new formats (e.g., turning a blog post into a webinar outline or social series).
      • Maintain an editorial voice that is clear, empathetic, and actionable for nonprofit leaders.
    • Optimization & Analytics:
      • Analyze engagement metrics to refine content strategies and drive measurable results.
      • Work with the SEO team to ensure content is optimized and designed to enhance organic visibility.
      • Track and report on content performance using analytics tools, identifying areas for improvement.
