    Equal Innovation is seeking interns to join our fast-growing team as Innovation Scouts. Equal Innovation is a world-leader in connecting mission-driven startups and social entrepreneurs with the partnerships, resources and opportunities they need to be successful. We have worked with the Heads of State, Fortune 100 corporations, major foundations and investors from around the world to source and scout researchers and startups for collaboration and investment in areas like climate change, sustainability, education, health care and breakthrough technologies like AI, gene editing and media.

    Our intern program is one of the most sought-after opportunities, renowned for its elite nature and rigorous selection process, with an acceptance rate of just 10%. We have welcomed talented individuals from prestigious institutions such as Yale, IIT (India), the University of Edinburgh, and the African Leadership University.     Under the guidance of the CEO and Startup Program Manager, Innovation Scouts will be responsible for managing Equal Innovation’s research, outreach and profiling of emerging startups that have recently graduated from the world’s best innovation centers, entrepreneurship programs and startup accelerators.

    A successful candidate profile:

    The ideal candidate will possess a strong interest in innovation, startups, and creating meaningful impact. They should have experience leading teams and exploring diverse topics. Additionally, the candidate should be well-versed in the innovation and entrepreneurship process and demonstrate excellent communication skills, with fluency in English.

    Responsibilities include identifying and interviewing startups qualified by Equal Innovation to gain an in-depth understanding of their products, teams, operations, and contributions to addressing challenges related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The candidate will also support Equal Innovation in building and nurturing its startup ecosystem.

    A solid understanding of venture capital processes, due diligence, and startup evaluation is essential for success in this role.
