School Professionals, the leading provider of substitute teachers for NYC schools, is currently recruiting for experienced N-12th grade teachers to work at prestigious charter, private, early childhood centers, and independent schools. We work with some of the city’s most prestigious educational institutions including some of the largest charter school networks and also service many of New York’s most elite private schools.

Substitute teaching with us is a great way for teachers to gain experience in a wide range of school environments. The schools we service are located throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens and Staten Island. The assignments we offer are varied and include standard day coverage, half day positions, and one-to-one tutoring. The majority of the positions available are day-to-day, however, we do receive many long-term and even direct hire opportunities. Many substitutes become school favorites and are regularly requested to return to those schools.

All applicants should have substantial N-12th grade teaching experience, verifiable references, and be willing to be fingerprinted by the NYC Department of Education. Certification is preferable, but not required.
