Volunteer Opportunities with Hope Children's Foundation

Hope Children’s Foundation is seeking volunteers to join our

Mission in Uganda, in scaffolding, supporting, and growing capacity in our

long-term local teams as they mobilize and equip the organization in the

poorest of the poor communities in Uganda to care for the

most vulnerable children and build resilience in their families.

 Volunteers of varied backgrounds and ages from around the world comprise the Hope Children’s

Foundation family. Committed to building upon Hope Children’s Foundation’s strong

foundation of local community ownership, volunteers strive to empower local volunteers to make a difference in the lives of the most vulnerable children living in over 30 of the poorest of the poor communities across Uganda.

Hope Children’s Foundation invites you to consider investing

a little time in your life serving the lives of vulnerable children in Uganda.

 Come with an open heart and a willingness to learn and serve in whatever way is needed. You will

serve alongside other Hope Children’s Foundation volunteers in supporting the local volunteers as ‘scaffolding’: a temporary but essential tool in building a structure and leaving it stronger than upon arrival.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in educational programs, including teaching, tutoring, and mentoring.
• Support healthcare initiatives, including medical outreach programs and health education workshops.
• Participate in community development projects, such as construction, agriculture, and clean water initiatives.
• Engage in fundraising activities and advocacy efforts to raise awareness and support for our cause.
• Provide administrative support, including data entry, event planning, and social media management.

Qualifications:

• Passion for making a positive impact and helping others.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to work in diverse environments.
• Relevant skills or experience in education, healthcare, community development, or fundraising (preferred but not required).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to our organization's values of compassion, inclusivity, empowerment, integrity, collaboration, sustainability, and advocacy.

Details:

• Location: Various locations across Africa, including Uganda and refugee camps in the West Nile region.
• Time Commitment: Flexible, ranging from a few weeks to several months.
• Accommodation: Accommodation options are available for volunteers, depending on the project location.
• Expenses: Volunteers are responsible for covering their travel expenses and any additional costs associated with their stay.
