Treasurer of the Board at Tribal Wisdom Foundation

The board of the Tribal Wisdom Foundation is in search of a new Treasurer. 💸

This ‘money master’ role requires ownership of the annual financial reporting, quarterly updates during our cosy board meetings, advising on spending and fundraising, the occasional contact with CBF (Central Bureau of Fundraising), and of course, strategic and actual engagement with all the wonderfully important initiatives we do to support the flow of Traditional, Ancestral and Indigenous Knowledge 🌿

Prerequisite: you love working with numbers and can comfortably draw up a balance sheet!

Interests: anthropology, ancestral wisdom, Indigenous knowledge, tribal cultures, rituals and ceremony, holistic world visions, nature-based healing, storytelling.

Network: you have or are willing to build a network of philanthropic relations.

Nice-to-have: experience in fundraising

Advantage: Dutch-speaker/reader (as a Dutch-based foundation and several years of experience with a non-Dutch treasurer we just want to flag that there’s a lot of translation involved 😉)

After eight years as a foundation, we are at the forefront of an exciting new phase. Our two main annual initiatives are maturing in The Netherlands and we are regaining our international outreach. We are also responding to broader socio-economic challenges by exploring how to offer more support for youth and how to integrate Indigenous Worldviews and Ancestral Wisdom into organisations.

Please note that this is an unpaid volunteer position. As a foundation with Non-Profit accreditation, we do not remunerate the board members. On occasion, expenses may be reimbursed.
