  • Sobre Nós

Ready, Willing & Able was launched in 2001 with support from the City of Philadelphia's Office of Supportive Housing, the Philadelphia Workforce Development Corporation, and New York City based non-profit, The Doe Fund. Over the past 12 years, the organization has developed a strong and recognized track record of assisting more than 400 formerly homeless individuals rebuild their lives and become tax-paying citizens, all while providing valuable services to the Philadelphia community. In order to successfully graduate from the program, men must achieve three criteria: full-time employment, independent housing, and maintenance of sobriety.

This 9-12 month transitional work and housing program, with a 70-bed facility located at 12th and Bainbridge Streets in South Philadelphia, offers paid work opportunities and training to homeless men. In partnership with organizations such as ACHIEVEability, the Enterprise Center, Fairmount Park, and the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, Ready, Willing & Able's Community Improvement Project maintains many streets, parks, and public spaces throughout Philadelphia

In addition to the paid work, occupational training, and transitional housing, RWA provides comprehensive social support services, educational resources, drug relapse prevention, job readiness and placement services, and life-long graduate counseling.
