The Future Society

The Future Society is an independent 501(c)(3) organization that aims to help shape the governance of Artificial Intelligence and other emerging technologies for beneficial impact. We pursue our mission through policy research, advisory, convenings and education programs. We envision a world where the power of technology serves the well-being and dignity of all.

Our approach enables a rigorous analysis of the impact and governance of the techno-scientific revolution. We produce high-quality, action-oriented research to advance the global understanding of the context, dynamics and consequences of Artificial Intelligence and other emerging technologies. We curate innovative interdisciplinary collaborations by bringing together stakeholders from diverse backgrounds, including international organizations, national governments, enterprises, and NGOs. We provide advisory services on how to capture the benefits of AI while mitigating its risks and downsides. We operate at the forefront of AI Governance by organizing leading international forums such as the Global Governance of AI Roundtable at the World Government Summit in 2018 and 2019.
