The Temple of Understanding

  • Sobre Nós

The mission of the Temple of Understanding (TOU) is to achieve peaceful co-existence among individuals, communities, and societies through interfaith education. Our innovative programs emphasize experiential knowledge and dialogue as a means of connecting people across a spectrum of religious communities to create a more just and peaceful world. We seek to foster appreciation of religious and cultural diversity, to expand public discourse on religion and spirituality, to further education for global citizenship, and, ultimately, to promote constructive social change. The TOU has programs designed for high school and college students as well as for adults, seminarians, and educators.

The Temple of Understanding (TOU) is a 501(c)3 non-profit and Non-Governmental Organization with Consultative Status at the United Nations.
