Healthcare Quality Improvement Platform (HQuIP)

A 2021 Gallup poll showed that half of Americans are unhappy with the quality of their medical care. At the Healthcare Quality Improvement Platform (HQUIP), we dedicate ourselves to measurably improving patient outcomes by bringing patients and providers together to stimulate innovation and solve the common problems that result in poor patient outcomes. Our current focus is on elevated lung cancer rates in rural areas. According to a 2018 study performed by the American Association of Cancer Research, this is due in part to limited access to preventative screening in these areas. HQUIP has a history of successful work in this area, having helped triple the lung cancer screening volume at a large Academic center within 12 months. We do this by knowing which interventions are most effective. We are attempting to replicate these results in rural hospitals.
