Notes for Notes® (NFN) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to providing youth with free access to musical instruments, instruction and recording studio environments so that music may become a profoundly positive influence in their lives. NFN partners with Boys & Girls Clubs and other afterschool programs to build, equip and staff its recording studios for youth. The Studios are packed with guitars, drums, keys/synths, DJ gear, digital music stations and full recording studio setups offering youth the opportunity to explore, create and record music.
NFN Studios are a one-stop-shop for youth ages 5-18 to do everything from learning how to play the guitar for the first time to writing a song to recording a full album. Youth can learn an instrument of their choice at their own pace and in their preferred style (e.g. playing by ear versus traditional music theory).
