BRMS is a 501(c)3 non-profit in southeast Washington, DC dedicated to the revitalization of the oldest commercial corridor in the Federal City, 8th Street between Eastern Market and the Navy Yard.
Based on the successful National Trust for Historic Preservation's Main Street program, BRMS has involved many volunteers to create a vibrant, attractive, and safe commercial corridor. It has helped design a streetscape, placed underemployed neighbors in jobs, sponsored promotional events, and developed design guidelines in the area.
