The mission of the Jesuit Social Research Institute (JSRI) is to transform the Gulf South through action research, analysis, education, and advocacy on the core issues of poverty, race, and migration. Specifically, JSRI offers participatory research, social analysis, and practical strategies for improving the social and economic conditions of the Gulf South states. Though fostering close collaboration with faculty, staff, and students at Loyola University, as well as community partner and faith-based organizations, JSRI combines academic research, education, and social action in a new paradigm based on the union of faith and justice.
