New York Disaster Recovery Program

  • Sobre Nós

The New York Disaster Recovery program provides an intentional community living experience for young adults interested in serving the Staten Island community. It is a unique and exciting opportunity to put your head, hands and heart to work in the disaster recovery process on Staten Island which was ravaged by Hurricane Sandy in October, 2012.

The New York Disaster Recovery Program is actively connected to many of the nine other Episcopal Parishes on Staten Island, providing ample opportunity for spiritual discernment through human connectedness to grow hand in hand. The foundational principle of the New York Disaster Recovery Program is this: It is in and through each other that we discover God and determine how to access and develop our faith in ways that work for us as individuals and for the diverse communities we participate in.
