Manhattan Workers Circle School is a progressive, secular Jewish school and community that invites families to build a contemporary Jewish identity rooted in an exploration of cultural heritage and a search for justice. Our program brings together Jewish cultural learning, joyous holidays, social justice activism, Yiddish language, and B’nei Mitsve preparation. We meet Sundays, September through June, from 10:30 AM to 1 PM at the Manny Cantor Center, 197 East Broadway on the Lower East Side.
The Workers Circle is a nonprofit organization that powers progressive Jewish identity through Jewish cultural engagement, Yiddish language learning, multigenerational education, and social justice activism. MWCS is part of a network of Workers Circle supplementary schools that includes Brooklyn, Westchester, Chicago, and Boston.
