Urban ArtWorks is a Seattle-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides opportunities for artists and local youth to create public works of art. Our mission is to engage youth, artists, and communities in the creation of public art that inspires connections and honors their voices.
Since 1995, we have painted vibrant murals, transformed construction sites, signal boxes, bus shelters and more in neighborhoods throughout Seattle. Our pre-employment training and subsidized employment programs foster a renewed sense of self-esteem, self-motivation and self-sufficiency in the young people who we work with.
