Pittsburgh Food Policy Council

  • Sobre Nós

Established in 2009, the Pittsburgh Food Policy Council (PFPC) implements collective impact to build a food system that benefits our communities, economy, and environment in ways that are just, equitable, and sustainable. We are deeply committed to our member’s collectively defined values and coordinate with over 100 resident, agricultural, government, non-profit, co-op, and institutional leaders to amplify our coordinated voices and actions. Together we advocate for community-led policy solutions and systems change in Allegheny County. In 2020, the PFPC released our region’s first food systems plan, the Greater Pittsburgh Food Action Plan (GPFAP). The GPFAP is a policy roadmap and action plan of 150 strategies that prioritize healthy, affordable, and sustainable food for all in Allegheny County.
